What is the difference between Materials Manager and Materials
Manager for Small Business?
Materials Manager
SB is aimed at single site, single company operations and
therefore not all functionality is included in
Materials Manager SB base product. Additional features can be added to Material Manager SB on an as needed basis (there is a nominal charge for each addition). Materials Manager SB also utilizes
in-built database technology to provide a low maintenance, cost
effective solution for a limited number of users (5 or less).
Materials Manager, on the other hand, can deal with many
companies and many hundreds of users, all online, simultaneously
and within a single system.

Whats included in the package?
The Materials Manager SB package comes with a single station
license for Mayer Scale Manager and a 3 user license for Mayer
Materials Manager SB. Also included is database management
software, MSDE, which can be easily upgraded should your
business grow.

Does Materials Manager SBE require any specific hardware or
software?
Materials
Manager SB comes complete and ready to use. No specific
hardware, servers and database systems is required. All the
software requires is to run on a Windows 98 or better PC. You
can run it on a standalone or networked with up to 5
inter-linked PC's, all sharing the same data.

Do I need a dedicated server?
No.
Materials Manager SB comes with a highly reliable database
engine that can run on a PC which can also be used to run other
tasks such word processing or other applications. A dedicated
server is not required.

Can I upgrade to Materials Manager as my business grows?
Yes.
When you decide to install Materials Manager, all your Materials
Manager SB data can be transferred. In addition we have special
upgrade offers for people who want to take advantage of the
increased benefits of Materials Manager. We'll even deduct the
price of Materials Manager SB from your Materials Manager
implementation when you upgrade.

Does Materials Manager SB include accounting functions?
Because of the comprehensive facilities found within our
software, you will only need a simple accounting systems such as Quickbooks. We also provide
seamless interfaces to these products.

Can I customize my ticket and invoice layouts?
Materials
Manager SB allows complete customization of any external
document including purchase and sale tickets and invoices. You
can change the information printed or even add your company
logo. Documents can be either printed through dot-matrix,
thermal or laser printers or a combination.
