Multi-Database Support

Materials Manager is the only product on the market that can work with the top leading database and operating systems. UNIX and NT platforms are both supported as are the following leading database management systems.

• Microsoft SQL Server 
• Sybase System 11
• Oracle 7/8

In addition our team has experience of IBM DB/2 on both Windows NT, AIX and IBM AS/400 platforms.

Your contract with us remains the same regardless of how many servers you have and how many locations you place them at. In addition each server and/or location can be running a different database or operating system, its up to you.

Networking

Materials Manager was developed with wide area networks in mind. For this reason we don't use shortcuts for our program development and optimize the application so that we make best use of your network. Materials Manager can run quite happily linked into a central database server with a network connections or over the internet. This is all straight out of the box and doesn't require any specialized hardware or software such as Citrix Winframe or Terminal Server type products. 

Hosted Applications

As part of Mayer's overall technology solutions, we can provide a hosted solution at our office for companies who don't want to run their own hardware. Ask for more information about our Application Service Provider (ASP) framework and hosted solutions.

Scale Integration

Integration with your scale is achieved through the PC's serial port. As long as your scale has a serial port output we can usually configure our scale software to pull weights in directly from the scale.

Accounting Integration

Mayer provides export facilities to enable you to integrate payment and sales data to your accounting system.
